Endorsed by the APEC Port Services Network (APSN) Council, the award acknowledges Johor Port’s role as a leader in green logistics and its commitment to environmental innovation within the region.

Recognition of Green Initiatives

The GPAS Evaluation Committee conducted a thorough review of applications, adhering to the strict standards outlined in the GPAS Implementation Plan 2020 and the Guide to GPAS Expert Evaluation. Johor Port’s green initiatives met and exceeded these benchmarks, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable development in maritime logistics.

The award was presented by Malaysia Marine Department’s Marine Director-General, Dickson Dollah, at the APSN Forum on Green Shipping Corridors, held on October 24-25, 2024, at Le Meridien Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The event brought together leaders from the maritime and logistics industries to discuss eco-friendly practices in shipping and port management.
